The AU-EU Innovation Festival

Building on the success of the “AU-EU Innovation Agenda Stakeholder Event” of Nairobi, Kenya in November 2022, the “AU-EU Innovation Festival” will be taking place in Cape Town, South Africa on 15th June 2023.

This festival will bring insights on impacts and perspectives from the Nairobi event, featuring pitching sessions and exhibitions of innovations from both Africa and Europe (including an actual fair, with projects’ roll-ups, booths and real-life demonstrations).

The festival will host agora discussions on success stories and bottlenecks on the pathways of women- and youth-led innovations. It will also feature the final pitching event of the “Open Innovation Challenges” of the Horizon 2020-project “ENRICH in Africa”, leading to an award ceremony attended by the corporate sponsors of this competition.

The event will be hosted by the European Union, the African Union and Republic of South Africa, and will be attended by representatives from public sector, NGOs and Civil Society, investors, corporations, and innovation actors from across Africa and Europe.

Further details on registration and dedicated website will become available soon.

Stay tuned!
